Finalists announced for Polaris Music Prize

The finalists have been announced for the Polaris Music Prize. What's that? It's "Canada's first monetary prize for a full-length album (Canadian albums released between June 1, 2005 and May 31, 2006 based solely on artistic merit, without regard to genre or record sales". Here are the nominees:
