If you've watched MTV at all since 1993 then it should come as no surprise that the best part of the second episode of MTV's new show Band in a Bubble were the music tracks hidden in the background.

Jebus! It's like a NYC indie music salad!
I heard they played The Attorneys on another episode and Gold Streets may be on an upcoming one.
This is officially the coolest job I've ever had in my life.
Wow. I know that TV soundtrack is a now a well-worn route to mainstream exposure for independent bands, but finding a way to sneak music back onto MTV...that's puts a whole new spin on the concept. Do the bands get credited within the show?
well, I have to say it's been an established practice at MTV for some time now to hide little gems of awesomeness in the background of their shitty programming. I recall a few years ago hearing British Sea Power's "Remember Me" in the background of Made or Cribs or something and I almost dropped my drink. even though I assume that their viewers are missing out on most of this music, I think it's a pretty cool backhanded way to show that SOMEone at that god-awful television station has good taste in music.
I literally just laughed out loud.
