Slint @ Webster Hall - 17 July 2007

Slint performed the entirety of their classic album Spiderland (plus a couple more songs after they played the album) last night at Webster Hall here in New York City.

Frankly, they blew me away with how perfectly they recreated the album live on stage.

Given the nature of the music on Spiderland, the way the band performed, and the way the audience politely (and intently) listened and applauded, the show almost felt like it was at Carnegie, not Webster, Hall.

Each and every nuance of sound and mood was present and conveyed as well as I ever would have dreamed. I'm not kidding. It was easily one of my top shows so far this year, and if they hadn't cancelled the originally scheduled show for tonight I'd be going to see them do it all over again this evening.

See more pictures of Slint (from this show) HERE.

I had a ticket to this show but was too tired after a hard day at work to go. My buddy went and was raving about it for days and I felt like a damn fool. :(

why do i do stupid things?

Here, I do not actually think this is likely to have success.
