Additional Bands Announced for the 6th Annual Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL™

Announced earlier today:

New York, NY (June 7, 2006) The Village Voice, the nation's largest alternative weekly newspaper, is excited to announce the addition of Scissor Sisters, Serena Maneesh, Man Man, The Rogers Sisters and Deadboy & The Elephantmen to the line-up for the 6th Annual Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL™ at Coney Island on Saturday, July 15th from 12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m. These just announced bands join scheduled performers She Wants Revenge, Stars, Art Brut, Tapes 'n Tapes, The Stills, The Cribs, Celebration and Dirty On Purpose with the MisShapes DJs spinning throughout the day.

This free, all-day, all-ages, music festival will feature live international, national, local bands and DJs performing on two outdoor stages in historic Coney Island. Now in its sixth year, the Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL™ has solidified its status as a leading outdoor music festival, drawing over 100,000 music fans the past three years, establishing itself as a leader in showcasing indie rock veterans and emerging artists.
Well well...I seriously am now considering actually going to this show. Why? Well, I've been to many of the Siren Festivals before and they were fun and, most importantly, because I just happen to like Man Man THAT much. Don't get me wrong, it's be tons of fun to see Art Brut, Tapes 'n Tapes, and (maybe) Stars as well. Perhaps. Perhaps. Still, I think it's a fairly weak lineup.
