Saturday night's triple bill at Music Hall of Williamsburg couldn't have commenced any stronger. Minneapolis quartet Vampire Hands dropped their unique blend of pop polyrhythms on a room that was woefully underpacked given the level of this performance...which is too bad, and also not like we hadn't been warned about this band's greatness, though. If you'll recall, Tapes 'n Tapes' Josh Grier had sung their praises to EF last week, even speculating on the rumor that Iggy Pop would be sitting in on drums????
No Iggy Pop, but no problem anyhow, because the multiple drum attack and give-and-take of falsetto and gruff vocals was a winning combo, at times reminiscent of everyone from Animal Collective and Liars to Les Savy Fav and Enon. See more pics after the jump...
