Goes Cube Tour Day Fourteen

Today we've got to make it all the way to San Diego so I'm going to make this brief. Yesterday we went to White Sands (pictures below), ate more tasty Mexican food, and then went to The Bean (venue, below). The first band on the bill was a ragtime/hot jazz/folky outfit out of Philadelphia called The Extraordinaires. At times they reminded me of certain Squirrel Nut Zippers songs written by Jimbo Mathus. Not particularly well matched to play before Goes Cube, but a fun band no less. If you can check them out on their current tour be sure to take a look at their handmade CD books. As for Goes Cube - the sound at The Bean was terrible, and there were a few equipment mishaps, but they fought through it and still delivered well enough to make some new fans and sell some CDs.

I have to say I've enjoyed our time in New Mexico but I'm really looking forward to California. San Diego tomorrow and then Viper Room on Thursday. LA is going to go nuts when they see Goes Cube. No doubt.
