8+

Remember, this is a new weekly feature here on EAR FARM. Plain and simply put, a new song each week for listening/download. The only rule here: that the posted song is longer than EIGHT minutes. They'll be from my music library and only available for a limited time.

Keeping in line with Islands Thursday, here is today's song:

Islands - "Swans (Life After Death)", which clocks in at 9:32.

You know, I was once told that this song was written about recycling and at first I doubted that. Now, having seen the parenthetical titling in addition to giving a little listen to the lyrics...I'm not so sure it's NOT about some form of recycling. Isn't everything? "Swans (Life After Death)" will most probably appear on their soon to be released album and was originally found at Fluxblog. If you don't read that site daily you're a jerk.

Wanna be friends with the band, or at least fool yourself into thinking that you are? Visit Islands on MySpace. Oh, and the image you see was found at LastFM here.

In the recent past this song was featured on EF's 8+:
