8+

“Haunted When the Minutes Drag" by Love and Rockets which clocks in at 8:03

There are no rules here. No guideline as to length or methodology or anything. As such, my goal today is to maximize efficiency and not talk your eyes off again. There's been enough of that lately here in 8+land. How inconsiderate of me to take up so much of your free time by forcing you to read about these long songs I love and the stories that go with them. Well today I'll let you off easy with one of my favorite songs of the '80s and a very brief write-up about it. I could tell you a personal story about this song, about me and a girl (go figure), but then you might get to thinking that that's all this 8+ feature is about. It's not. It's about the music. And some of the lyrics to this very song tell you all you need to know about this here particular music...

So this is for when you feel happy
And this is for when you feel sad
And this is for when you feel...
    Nothing

Oh no you didn't! A Love and Rockets song is highlighted on your site and my jaw is dropping. Being a L & R fan for years this warmed my heart. Definitely a killer track! Now you gotta do a write up on a Tones on Tail song.

I just blogged about this song today. I have loved it forever. And for some reason, I started listening to it again lately, and it's like I've fallen in love with it all over again.

A brilliant song.

Bravo for paying tribute to it.
